As an automotive magazine publisher, editor and motor journalist in the 80s and 90s, I was privileged to attend many unique and amazing press functions and receive highly-specialized literature regarding the cars being launched. By the way, this was a memorable day in Newport Pagnell. It was lightly drizzling and gray, but I topped 120 mph on the motorway in the new Virage and it felt like I was going 55 mph in the dry....the dumb things we do for our art!
Here is an actual, original Press Kit for the motoring media, given to me at the launch of the then-new Virage Coupé at the Newport Pagnell factory. Few were made; fewer yet remain. Never offered to the general public. Includes 14"x10" factory media pocket folder, 4 press releases, 12"x8.5" Aston Martin Press Information folder, "Aston Martin Lagonda - A Profile" 6-page foldout brochure, plus a gorgeous 16-page, 13.5" x 9.5" full-colour factory sales brochure for the new Virage.
