, SCOTT #317//331  IN FINE-VERY FINE UNUSED CONDITION,
When Queen Elizabeth succeeded King George VI as reigning monach of Great Britain, new definitive postage stamps were issued bearing her likeness. In quite rapid sequence three (3) different similar series were released, each series on different watermarked paper. In these approximate years the following occurred -- 1952 (Scott #292-308), wmk 298 tudor crown; 1955 (Scott #317-333), wmk 308 Edward crown; and, 1959 (Scott #353-369), wmk 322 multiple crowns. The first two sets are costly due to their brief useage, as compared to the 3rd set being inexpensive as they were in use for many years. It was also during this period that experimentation with graphite bars, phosphor bands , and, phosphorescent paper occurred, making these sets the subject of much study.
Kindly see the photo to view these stamps. They are ten values from set of seventeen (17) stamps from the 2nd series, they are fresh and bright, have full original gum, have been previously very lightly hinged (no remnants, some never hinged),
includes the coveted 7p value
