Pier 1 Imports Martillo Creme Brulee Footed Coffee Mug Cup
Pier 1 Imports began in 1962 with a single store in San Mateo, California. Since then we have grown to more than 1,000 locations companywide. By 1966, changing it's name to Pier 1 imports, the company had grown to 16 store locations, and established its corporate headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas. Pier 1 went public on the American Stock Exchange in 1970 and later joined the New York Stock Exchange in 1972
Our glazed stoneware pieces have been crafted by hand, so they have rustic look, irregular surfaces and rubbed edges you'd expect from farmhouse pottery, and somehow, they're still refined, classic silhouettes and soft color make them an easy choice for special occasions, the fact that they're a natural makes them for everyday use
Proto-stoneware, such as Pingsdorf ware, and then near stoneware was developed there by 1250, and fully vitrified wares were being produced on a large scale by 1325. The salt glazed style that became typical was not perfected until the late 15th century
Bad to the Bone. The discovery of coffee dates back to the 11th century in Ethiopia, but the first mugs were actually discovered long before that in China and Japan. These mugs were made from wood or even animal skulls during the Neolithic Stone Age
